started off with computer work. fine..... then lunchtime lounge: great.....then phat cafe: awful!

made posters yesterday. phat cafe toda was less stressful than it has been.

had a bit of a rest. went to Hull. Back to work. Phat cafe, Lunchtime lounge + living waters

Wednesday: phat cafe - banned!...Living waters, good stuff....Thursday: 2 assemblies and photocopying Silent PP!....Friday: Eastney Rock Solid...Sunday: Mother's day family service...Next week: phat cafe, going to Hull.

Monday: 2 assemblies. Tuesday: mayham at the cafe!

Started planning Wednesday night youth club. Found lots of the games weren’t suitable so had to think of some new ones as the subject: Jesus, was worth doing

Tuesday+wednesday: phat café after school club. Went quite well: no issues this week.

Wednesday: lunchtime lounge. Wheat and the weeds Matthew 13:24-30 
How as students they can try to show themselves to be different to the crowd. - to stand out.

Wednesday: living waters youth club: thought the games worked very well and co worker Carly did excellent job giving her testimony.

Thrusday: J team assembly: the kids enjoyed it again, and the teachers like us.

Friday: Eastney youth group:. Not many there, but had a good time talking and playing games about fairness. For example: mars bars: all the different sizes: if they all just cut the m up into 5ths, then everyone can have an equal share.

Tonight: popsters, tomorrow, cowplain family service.

At Youth Alpha we discussed the existence of the Devil, and how to resist him. There seems to be a lot of assumptions made about how children who grow up in the Church will learn about what the Bible actully says. It has taught me more about how I need to think about what I talk about - - - at what level of understanding about a subject I start from.
Also leads on to thoughts about how "Church" should be done :- "We've always done it this way!"....but do we have to?

Worked in the office getting things ready for Rock Solid and Youth Alpha, and did Kid's cell

Since November, SYFC has continued it's work in the Solent area. We have:
Taken part in many Christmas activities
Continued with Phat Café, Lunchtime Lounge and evening clubs
Started Rock Solid at Eastney Evangelical Free Church
Started Youth Alpha at St Andrew's Church, Farlington
Assisted in Family services at King's Church and Cowplain Evangelical Church
Presented the SYFC Narnia theme night and £10 challenge party
Been to YFC Conference in Wales
Taken many assemblies including the Adventures of the J Team.
